NHL Legend ties Steve Yzerman's record last night.

He will look to pass Stevie Y before the end of the season, but there's no shame in falling behind this man. Legendary NHL forward Jaromir Jagr recorded his 1,063rd assists on Saturday when his New Jersey Devils faced off against the Dallas Stars. That number moves him into a tie for 7th place all time, with Detroit Red Wings legend Steve Yzerman. Jagr's longevity has been nearly as impressive as his talent, and this is just another feather in the cap of the man who recently moved to 5th all time in total points n an NHL career. Jagr is now only 16 assists away from another former Red Wing, Hall of Famer Adam Oates, a mark he will look to pass during the course of this season.  It will be interesting to see how much longer Jagr can keep going as he continues rewrite the NHL's record books.
