There are some truly magnificent artists out there in the world, many of whom don't get nearly enough credit for the amazing works of art they put out into the universe.
Today I stumbled upon one such artist, or group of artists, when I came across a series of National Hockey League logos that had been redesigned to include members of the hit TV show 'The Simpsons.' Some of these are nothing short of breathtaking, and while they aren't all necessarily my cup of tea, I feel like there is going to be one here for everyone.
Full credit for all of these goes out to the people at AK47 Studios, they designed each and everyone one of them.
First up we've got Homer Simpson taking center stage, replacing the "B" in the Boston Bruins logo:
One of my personal favorites is up next, its Ralph Wiggum as the Chicago Blackhawks logo. This one made me laugh.
Dolph, Kearney and Jimbo fit right alongside the Broad Street Bullies.
The Dallas Stars are getting funky with Disco Stu.
Groundskeeper Willie is no stranger to raking up Leafs.
Snake is representing the motor city.
Grandpa Simpson replacing the Shark is also one of my favorites.
No surprise to see Marge Simpson and her hair representing the St. Louis Blues.
We've got Bart Simpson in the role of the Penguin.
Santa's Little Helper makes a pretty good Coyote.
Moe has got the Oilers on tap.
Fat Tony is the King of LA.
Lisa replaces the Statue of Liberty for the Rangers.
Horatio the Sea Captain was born to be an Islander.
Mr. Burns thinks the Hurricanes are excellent.
I'm not so sure how happy the Blue Jackets will be about having Millhouse representing them.
Itchy and Scratchy with the old school Florida Panthers look.
Apu bringing his "A" to the Avalanche.
Mayor Quimby is getting political in Washington.
Chief Wiggum as the old school Ducks logo is simply hilarious.
Maggie and Minnesota come together for the Wild logo.
Skinner and the Senators.
Otto is driving the Jet.
Cleatus is a slack jawed Predator.
Lenny and Carl toast the Canadiens.
Flanders is feeling Devilish.
Professor Frink is looking to harness the power of Lightning.
Krusty is engulfed in Flames.
Nelson has always been bullheaded.
Last but not least, the Canucks win the day with Barney.
