The 2025 edition of the NHL Winter Classic will (again) feature the Chicago Blackhawks, facing off against the St. Louis Blues at historic Wrigley Field. It will mark the second time that the venue has hosted the event, with the most recent taking place on January 1, 2009 between the Blackhawks and visiting Detroit Red Wings.
However, the NHL has introduced a change in scheduling from what has traditionally been done over the years. This time around, the Winter Classic will be a New Year's Eve affair.
