The National Hockey League has officially made an adjustment to their All-Star weekend roster.

As many of our readers will already know, Seattle Kraken rookie sensation Matty Beniers has been sidelined with an injury for roughly a week now after he took a big hit from Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers. To absolutely no one's surprise, this will now result in Beniers being forced to miss the upcoming NHL All-Star Game, no doubt a huge disappointment to the first time NHL All-Star, which left the NHL scrambling for a replacement.

That replacement has now been announced with Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press breaking the news that Las Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson will be stepping in to replace Beniers at the event.

Stephenson has had a himself a solid season for the Golden Knights with 11 goals and 33 assists for a total of 44 points over 51 games this season, but the reality is that almost any replacement would have been a let down when compared to Beniers, a player that many believe will win the Calder Trophy this season as the NHL's rookie of the year.
