NHL on TNT adds another star broadcaster

Absolutely LOVE what TNT is doing. Makes ESPN and Sportsnet irrelevant.

This just in, the NHL on TNT has added former NHL goalie turned analyst Brian Boucher to their broadcasting team for the upcoming season.

Check it out:

Boucher, of course, was previously with NBC Sports for nearly a decade as their 'Inside the Glass' reporter alongside Doc Emrick and Eddie Olczyk before serving as a color commentator for ABC and ESPN last season. He's one of the most well spoken and most highly regarded analysts in the game and, frankly, I'm looking forward to seeing how his straight forward approach works with the boys on the TNT panel.

I've been a big fan of TNT's broadcast since they acquired the NHL's rights last offseason. The network's innovative approach and more casual style of engaging with the audience has won me over and I'm not afraid to say I'm a die hard hockey traditionalist. I grew up on Hockey Night in Canada and I love me a good analytic think piece on the minutiae of the game. But, TNT is a breath of fresh air. The TNT broadcast is fun, casual and honestly just way more entertaining to watch than anything from CBC/Sportsnet and certainly more entertaining than ESPN.
