Minnesota Wild forward Mason Shaw will be sitting the next pair of games because of his actions against San Jose Sharks forward Evgeny Svechnikov.
In case you missed it, Shaw caught Svechnikov with a dirty knee-on-knee hit that resulted in the former being assessed a five minute major penalty and a game misconduct. And the NHL has suspended him for the next two games as a result.
Shaw will miss facing the Winnipeg Jets and the Dallas Stars. He'll be eligible to return to Minnesota's lineup against the St. Louis Blues on December 31st.
