NHL releases full 2025-26 schedule along with many important dates to circle on the calendar

The NHL’s full 2025-26 regular-season schedule has just been released and fans are on the lookout for their favourite team’s matchups. The Florida Panthers, our Stanley Cup champions for the second consecutive year, will open the 2025-26 NHL season raising their banner.

The NHL season will officially open on Oct. 7 with a tripleheader, with first game of the season will be held at Amerant Bank Arena in Florida, where the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers will host the Chicago Blackhawks at 5 p.m. ET.

At 8 p.m. ET., the New York Rangers will host Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will immediately face their former head coach Mike Sullivan at the Madison Square Garden.

The night will close with the Colorado Avalanche visiting the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena (10:30 p.m. ET).

Here are some must-watch games this season and some key dates to circle on your calendar, including when we will see Mitch Marner of the Vegas Golden Knights play his first game as a visiting player in Toronto, and Brad Marchand of the Florida Panthers do the same against his former teammates in Boston.

Plus, we will have a Stanley Cup rematch on November 22nd, when the Edmonton Oilers visit the Panthers in Florida, and new Winnipeg Jet Jonathan Toews will return to Chicago on January 19.
