NHL releases full schedule for Conference Finals.
The National Hockey League has announced the full schedule for both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals.
The matchups haven't even been locked in yet but the National Hockey League is already setting the stage for both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals.
On Sunday night following the conclusion of Game 6 between the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars, a game in which the Stars punched their ticket to face the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Final, the league revealed the full schedule for both Conference Finals.
The NHL did so by releasing what are effectively 3 different schedules, one for the Western Conference Final between the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers, and two others for the Carolina Hurricanes and whatever opponent they might face in the Eastern Conference Final. Although there were two schedules for the Hurricanes, one for the Florida Panthers and another for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the dates and start times remain the same in both of those schedules. The only notable differences are of course the venues, with Carolina having home ice advantage against Florida, meaning the series would begin in Raleigh, and Toronto having home ice advantage over the Hurricanes, meaning the series would begin in Toronto.
If that all sounds a little too complicated, you can view the full schedules in a very simple format in the image linked below:
Another notable detail about this schedule is that there will be only a single game played during the afternoon, with the Oilers and Stars having a seemingly random 3:00 PM start on Sunday May 25th for what will be Game 3 of that series.
Now we wait for tonight's Game 7 to determine which of the two Eastern Conference Final schedules will be the one locked in.
