Tough night for the reporter, who had a great sense of humor about the incident.
It was a tough night for NHL reporter Anna Dua on Thursday night when she covered the game between the New York Rangers against the Maple Leafs in Toronto.
During the pregame report, her colleague, Sportsnet studio host David Amber revealed that Dua faceplanted before the contest at the Scotiabank Arena.
Amber asked Dua with a smile: “I thought you were going to mention your injury. Didn’t you wipe out like 20 minutes ago?”
Dua immediately responded, even making fun of herself, saying: “I did, in front of the entire New York Rangers during their warm-up circles,” Dua said. “So, once we get the footage of that, maybe we’ll be able to show all the fans at home that as well.”
“We’ve all been there,” Amber said. “Be well; enjoy the game. Some Original Six action tonight at Scotiabank Arena. Putting Anna Dua on blast.”
“As long as I stay on my feet,” Dua joked.
Moments later, Dua posted the “fail footage” of the incident on X, which has since gone viral.
I love that Dua had a great sense of humor about the incident. She is a professional and I’m sure she’s still having a good laugh about this.
Thankfully, Dua came out of the faceplant without any injuries and was able to laugh it off.
Probably like you are now watching it.
