NHL team accused of doing something really, really weird for Team USA

Team USA have arrived in Milano, Italy for the 2026 Olympics and they hit the ice today for their official team photo.

What should have been a pretty straight-forward photoshoot turned into a bit of a social media controversy online.

You see... the New Jersey Devils shared a photo of superstar forward Jack Hughes posing with brothers Brady and Matthew Tkachuk... the only problem? They awkwardly removed Hughes' brother Quinn Hughes from the photo... kinda.

You can see that they removed Q. Hughes' upper body from the photo, but kept his lower body the photo.

I mean... what are we doing here?

What's the reasoning for this? Just salty that the Minnesota Wild won the Hughes trade over the Devils?

This is just weird... there must be some inside joke that I'm missing out on? Or is Lou Lamoriello back in charge?
