NHL to make big announcement this weekend

The NHL has something big under wraps, and it has something to do with the Dallas Stars. They'll be making an announcement on Saturday.

Press released from both the NHL and from the Dallas Stars on Friday confirmed that they will be making a public announcement on Saturday during the Dallas Stars Reunion Lawn Party at 7:40 p.m.

There has been talk that the Stars have been one of the teams looking to host the 2018 NHL Draft, and the confirmed attendance of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlins and NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly on Saturday suggests that Dallas will indeed be getting the draft.

If that is the case, the American Airlines Center will host management, scouts, coaches and owners from around the league for the NH's biggest offseason event.
