As Major League Baseball proceeds toward its 60-game schedule at the end of the month, teams are taking precautions and the National Hockey League might be inspired to do the same during the playoff tournament.

In the MLB’s shortened season, the Toronto Blue Jays will be isolated at the Rogers Centre and adjoining hotel to coincide with the team’s bubble and health and safety protocols. Violating those rules will come with a hefty penalty as Scott Mitchell of TSN reported that any player seen outside the ballpark will be subject to a $750,000 fine and potential jail time. That fine is the maximum allowed under the Quarantine Act.

Upon seeing the news, Colorado Avalanche forward and former Maple Leafs player Name Kadri reacted to the publication and couldn’t believe something like that would take place.

The star forward might be worried that the same fine could be applied in the NHL, who is also using Toronto as a hub city and Edmonton. Kadri and his Avalanche will be playing in the latter, which seems to get him out of trouble for now if he intends to leave the bubble, however the NHL might be inspired to punish players as well to make sure the playoff tournament goes without any issue or positive COVID-109 diagnosis.

Imagine competing in the playoffs and having to pay way more than you earn because you left the isolated bubble created to ensure health and safety…

We bet players won’t dare to break the rules!
