NHL veteran Andrew MacDonald finally signs a new contract
The former Flyers and Islanders defenseman is back in the game.

This just in, according to a report from NHL insider Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, former Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders defenseman Andrew MacDonald has signed a contract with SC Bern of the Swiss A-League. MacDonald, of course was one of several NHL veterans on a professional tryout (PTO) contract with the Calgary Flames previously.

The 33 year old MacDonald played just 47 games with the Flyers last season, scoring nine assists. He was formerly the captain of the Islanders and had been the Flyers’ assistant captain off and on for the past five seasons.
