NHLers react to the suicide of Linkin Park's Chester Bennington

In some very sad news, it was reported yesterday that vocalist of awarding winning heavy metal band Linkin Park, Chester Bennington took his own life. Linkin Park been been a favorite of NHLers for years, so it's no surprise that several players have taken to social media to express their heartfelt despair. The band's unique mixture of rock, pop, metal, rap and even electronic dance music made them a band that was beloved by the masses.

 Toronto Marlies winger and NHL veteran Rich Clune used the news as an opportunity to spread his message about the seriousness of mental illness:

Bennington was 41 years old. Rest in peace.
