NHLers take part in puppy photo shoot for a good cause.

The holiday season is coming up and for those less unfortunate among us it can be an extremely difficult time.

It's not just human beings either, there are literally thousands of animals looking for homes at this time of year and saving one can be a gift both to the animal in question as well as to the family that takes him or her into their homes.

In an effort to raise awareness for the North Shore Animal League, the New York Islanders took the time to participate in a photo shoot with a number of young dogs that are currently looking for homes, and the result were adorable.
