On Tuesday night, the Arizona Coyotes scratched center Nick Bjugstad for trade related reasons.

That was the last straw for Bjugstad’s agent Ben Hankinson, who quickly took to Twitter on Wednesday to ask rival teams to trade for his client before Friday’s deadline.

“Please trade for Nick Bjugstad so he can come out of his Time Out and play hockey again. Players don’t like not playing and fans don’t like it either.”

The 30-year-old forward has 13 goals and 23 points in 59 games with Arizona this season, marking the first time he’s topped the 10-goal mark since scoring 19 with the Florida Panthers in 2017-18. Bjugstad carries a cap hit of $900,000 this season and is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

He has like the perfect rental for several teams for a boost up front in the postseason.

Earlier today, TSN’s Darren Dreger and colleague Pierre LeBrun report that the Edmonton Oilers are considering Bjugstad.

Let’s see what happens to Bjugstad before Friday’s deadline. On Wednesday, the Coyotes trade defensemen Jakob Chychrun and Shayne Gostisbehere out of Arizona.
