There has been major concern surrounding the health and status of Canadian superstar Sidney Crosby following an injury at the Winter Olympic Games, but Saturday morning brought with it some seemingly huge news for the Canadian squad.

Although there has been no official announcement regarding Crosby's participation in the upcoming Gold Medal game on Sunday, Saturday morning did bring an unofficial update from one of Crosby's very own teammates. Although practice was once again closed to the public, reporters on the scene were able to get an update on Crosby courtesy of Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki.

Suzuki, who is representing Canada alongside Crosby at this tournament, spoke to reporters about what went on during that closed door practice. According to Suzuki, the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins was looking good and it left him optimistic that he may return to the ice for what will be this tournament's grand finale.

"Looked really good out there on the ice today," said Suzuki. "Hopefully he’s in."

Crosby is not only a uniquely talented hockey player but is also considered Team Canada's de facto leader as a player that even the superstars of the National Hockey League look up to and aspire to be like. A return in the Gold Medal game would not only provide a huge boost to the Canadian lineup in terms of raw talent, but could also bolster the spirits of the players on the Canadian bench.
