While all 23 players who were placed on the waiver wire on Thursday cleared and will be sent down to minors, we wonder if the same thing will happen to the new players placed on waivers on Friday.

A total of nine players have been placed on waivers, today.

The Arizona Coyotes made most of the cuts, sending four players on the wire. They are Aaron Ness, Michael Bunting, Hudson Fashing and Michael Chaput.

Ness caught the attention of many during the preseason in Arizona as he was the victim of a brutal head hit during a contest

Ness, who signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Coyotes this summer suited up for his first preseason game with the Coyotes last Sunday, against the Vegas Golden Knights, but didn’t finish the contest… Golden Knights forward Keegan Kolesar landed a hard hit to Ness’ head as he crossed the neutral zone. Kolesar received a five-minute major penalty for charging but was not ejected for the hit. Ness stayed down on the ice long after the hit, and was later helped off and into the dressing room.

Now, he is helped on the waiver wire.

The Dallas Stars placed placed Joel Hanley on there, while the Calgary Flames put Brandon Davidson up for grabs. The Winnipeg Jets placed Cameron Schilling on waivers in order to send him down to the minors.

The Vancouver Canucks placed both Tyler Graovac and Richard Bachman on waivers as well.
