It appears GM Dave Nonis is still hard at work looking to improve his club despite the recent turn around in play demonstrated by the Leafs. Despite several reports of coach Randy Carlyle's job being at risk it appears the Leafs GM will look to make a change in personnel before making a decision on Carlyle. The Fourth period is reporting the the Leafs are listening to offers for back up goalie James Reimer, as well as center Nazim Kadri and defenseman Cody Franson. It is believed that Nonis is looking to upgrade at Center, and Kadri would only be moved in a package that would include an improvement at that position. Meanwhile the Leafs continue to dangle Joffrey Lupul as trade bait, however his limited no trade clause appears to be making the process a more prolonged one that anticipated. Leafs are also rumored to be involved in the David Perron talks with the Edmonton Oilers, although they are just one of many teams according to Darren Dreger of TSN. It seems like an odd fit for the Leafs now, but with David Booth in the AHL, and Lupul potentially with one foot out the door it could make sense. Surprisingly still nothing solid on the potential trade of Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf. Let us know what moves you would make if you were the GM in the comments below.
