The first round of the NHL postseason gets underway today and of course, this meant that many oddmakers and sports books had to update their leading contender to win the Stanley Cup.
Even before the NHL playoff tournament was underway, it seemed that most oddmakers believe the Vegas Golden Knights would be the team hoisting the Stanley Cup at the end of it all.
While the Golden Knights maintain their spot, they don’t have the lead anymore: Vegas AND Colorado Avalanche look to the first round of the NHL playoffs as +550 co-favourites on the Stanley Cup odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Now set as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, the Golden Knights are also listed as heavy -275 chalk on the NHL playoff series prices as they prepare to battle the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series, starting tonight in Edmonton.
However, Colorado is one of the +550 co-favorites to win the 2019-20 Stanley Cup, followed by the Philadelphia Flyers (+600), Tampa Bay Lightning (+650) and Boston Bruins (+750).
This will be interesting.
We all know the final will be between a Western club and one from the East, as it seems here by OddsSharks the Flyers, but we could get one hell of a battle in the Western Conference’s final between Vegas and Colorado.
The Knights recorded a 4-3 victory over Colorado to remain undefeated in last week’s round robin action. Would it be the same later on in the postseason?
These odds are getting us excited for an incredible playoff run! Are you going to bet on one team?
