Last Sartuday, the Montreal Canadiens were facing the Florida Panthers, and before the game, head coach Claude Julien announced that gritty forward Nicolas Deslauriers would watch the contest from the press box.

In 19 games with the Habs so far this season, the 26-year-old has four goals, seven points, and a +10 rating.

Fans were outraged: after all, Deslauriers had been the most passionate and productive player of the lineup, so why sit him out?! According to Dans Les Coulisses, Julien reportedly punished Deslauriers for something that took place off the ice.

It was a disciplinary reason from Julien and team management that was made, and Deslauriers was left aside. No details were given on what might have occurred for Deslauriers to be punished. The team was on a three-game road trip following the Christmas break.

However, we can be sure he won't do it again - or at least we hope.
