Oilers add some goaltending depth, sign veteran goalie from Edmonton

This just in, the Edmonton Oilers have signed 31 year old journeyman goaltender Matt Tomkins.

Tomkins, an Edmonton native, has just six NHL games in his 9 year pro career, all with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He has played mostly in a backup role for the AHL's Syracuse Crunch the past two seasons after spending two seasons in Sweden.
