Oilers are bringing out their stars for preseason clash against Canucks.
The Edmonton Oilers will clash against their Western Conference rivals the Vancouver Canucks in preseason action on Sunday night and they are bringing out the big guns for this early preview of the renewal of a bitter rivalry this season.
The Oilers will feature many of their top stars in the lineup this evening including the likes of superstar forward Leon Draisaitl and Oilers captain Connor McDavid.
It won't just be the forwards who will come out in full force today with the Oilers also bringing several of their regular defensemen including veteran defenseman Mattias Ekholm and star defenseman Evan Bouchard.
The Oilers will also feature one of their regular goaltenders this evening with Stuart Skinner in the lineup.
Here is the full breakdown:
Draisaitl - McDavid - Frederic
Howard - RNH - Mangiapane
Lazar - Philp - Kapanen
Samanski - Tomasek - Hutson
Ekholm - Bouchard
Dineen - Emberson
Leppanen - Regula
Skinner
Tomkins
The Canucks on the other hand will feature some regulars of their own but they certainly won't be bringing the kind of stacked lineup that the Oilers will be bringing to the table tonight.
There's no question that the biggest weapon the Canucks will have on the ice tonight will be goaltender Thatcher Demko, who is likely hoping to get some reps in after suffering a debilitating injury that caused him to miss much of last season.
Here is a full breakdown of the Canucks lineup:
Bains. Chytil. Karlsson.
O’Connor. Cootes. Lekkerimäki.
Sasson. Räty. Sherwood.
LaBate. Åman. MacEachern.
MP29. EP25.
Forbort. Hronek.
Joseph. Kudryavtsev.
Demko
