The Edmonton Oilers offered their local fanbase yet another third period collapse on Tuesday night, crashing to a 6-2 loss at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks. More to the point, this is now six straight losses for the Oilers (technically 0-4-2), their second 6-game losing streak since mid-December.

Fans have had more than enough and it showed on Tuesday despite the Oilers playing in what are supposed to be the friendly confines of Roger Place...

One fan decided to show the world and the Oilers how fed up he has been with the team's performance and pulled the first jersey toss of the season! Ever since, the video of his feat has gone viral and we can see the fan walking towards the boards and tossing his Oilers sweater over the glass and onto the ice rather than just getting up and leaving the building.

The Blackhawks had just scored four goals in just seven minutes in the third period while Edmonton only managed to register four shots on goal! The Oilers have given up 30 goals and scored just 17 goals - so, there is no way you can blame the guy for showing his frustration over a team that now counts two 30+ goal-scorers in captain Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

I mean, this doesn't make any sense.

The Oilers are still arguing that they will make the playoff push this season, however, it's starting to be very hard to believe.

Hence, the jersey toss.

We might see a whole lot more of these if the Oilers don't get their s**t together before it's too late...
