Oilers get their first playoff goal in 11 years!

It's been a long time since the Edmonton Oilers and their fan base got a taste of the playoffs but they got off to a great start on Wednesday night.

Less than half way into the very first period of Game 1 against the San Jose Sharks, Oilers defenseman Oscar Klefbom gave the Oilers their first playoff goal in 11 years, putting the team up 1-0 over the Sharks.

Klefbom fired a hard shot on net that appeared to go through both the defender and Sharks goaltender Martin Jones, a great way to start the postseason for a young team that hasn't had much success in recent years.

Needless to say Rogers Place exploded as soon as the red light came on
