Oilers make a roster swap before facing the Flames.
The Oilers shake things up.
We are about to get our very first 'Battle of Alberta' of the 2022-23 National Hockey League regular season and as if the stakes weren't high enough already, both teams have started the season off with a win which means that one team will be handed their first lost of the season this evening. In the grand scheme of things it will only be a single regular season game, but the stakes are always a little juicier when these two teams face off.
The Oilers are making some minor roster adjustments ahead of this one, although there could be more to come before the puck officially drops later this evening. According to an official announcement the Oilers have called up forward Devin Shore from the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League and have sent down defenseman Philip Broberg to Bakersfield in a corresponding move.
