Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has confirmed that goaltender Stuart Skinner will get the start tonight in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Knoblauch also confirmed another couple lineup changes:

Troy Stecher replaces John Klingberg on defense.

Jeff Skinner replaces Viktor Arvidsson up front.

Earlier on Wednesday, Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch quickly met with media members to explain he was considering making one lineup change for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Panthers in Florida on Thursday night, but he did not mention which player would be inserted back into the roster. He also kept his goaltending plans for Game 4 also under wraps as he refused to confirm his starting goalie, and also mentioned that forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will be a game-time decision.

Then, media members were informed that the Oilers’ players had the day off today.

However, Edmonton apparently pulled a fast one on media contingent as a total of 16 players ended up taking the ice and skating anyway, including captain Connor McDavid and superstar forward Leon Draisaitl.

A lot more will be determined tomorrow ahead of Game 4, but we might have to wait until puck drop to know exactly what the Oilers’ lineup will look like, and seeing how the team is keeping quiet even about practices, we might only find out at puck drop.

On Tuesday however, Nugent-Hopkins, who logged 15:34 of ice time of ice time in the ugly 6-1 Game 3 loss Monday, missed practice. Jeff Skinner took line rushes in his spot. He has appeared in two playoff games this spring, posting a goal and an assist.

As for the fast one pulled by the Oilers, a lot of people aren't unhappy. Will the league get involved?
