The decision that everyone has been debating for 2 days has officially been made.
The Edmonton Oilers have made their choice.
Following a very exciting and quite frankly stunning Game 4 between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers, the biggest question on everyone's mind was who would be starting in net during Game 5 of this same series for the Edmonton Oilers?
Goaltender Stuart Skinner gave up 3 goals in the opening period of Game 4 as his team was dominated from whistle to whistle, with many arguing that Skinner prevented the game from getting even further out of hand with some big saves in spite of the 3 goals he allowed. However when Calvin Pickard stepped in in the second period the game changed entirely with the Oilers rallying all the way back to eventually win by a score of 5-4 in overtime.
It couldn't have been an easy choice for head coach Kris Knoblauch but on Saturday morning Knoblauch made it clear that he would be going back to Pickard, who currently boasts a record of 7-0 in the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs.
Here is a look at Pickard taking shots from his teammates while in the starter's net from today's morning skate.
Stay tuned for more updates on any lineup changes ahead of Game 5.
