The Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames will renew the Battle of Alberta on Saturday night but ahead of what is usually a fairly exciting contest between these two teams, the Oilers are making some adjustments.

On Saturday morning, the Oilers announced a change to their roster when they added 22 year old forward Dylan Holloway back onto their main roster for the first time since all the way back in November, with Holloway's most recent NHL game having come November 13th against the New York Islanders.

In a corresponding move the Oilers have sent James Hamblin down to the American Hockey League where he will join the Bakersfield Condors.

Holloway has largely been out of action due to a relatively serious knee injury he suffered in that November game against the Islanders. Holloway was attempting to reach for a puck when he fell awkwardly into the boards, injuring himself in the process.

Holloway, an Oilers first round pick (14th overall) at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, had not had the best start with only 1 point in his first 14 games but that lone point, a goal, had come in the game prior to the one in which he was injured.

It sounds like Holloway will be suiting up for the Oilers tonight when they take on the Calgary Flames, although that has not yet been officially announced.
