During the first intermission of Game 4 of the second round series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers, panels spoke of the upcoming fourth contest in the matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers.
And while the game is coming later on, the Oilers might have already struck first when camera caught the Golden Knights’ players attempting to reach their dressing room, only to be met by locked doors.
The footage was shown on Sportsnet and on ESPN and sure made the panelists have a good laugh.
No one can confirm that it was a moved pulled by the Oilers’ staff though it wouldn’t be the first time a team tried to play mind games during a series.
The Golden Knights themselves were said to have sabotaged the training room reserved for their first round opponents Winnipeg Jets at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas by removing all the pedals from the stationary bikes.
It’s part of the game!
