The Oilers are currently holding on to the last playoff spot in the National Hockey League's Pacific Division and they were faced with a tough challenge coming out of the Olympic break with a 3 game road trip in California.

The Oilers have gone 1-1 in that road trip thus far but they will look to keep strong momentum going in their favor after a dominant win over the Los Angeles Kings, an 8-1 blowout, this past Thursday.

Unsurprisingly after such a dominant win, Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has opted not to make any changes to his lineup, going with the same group of forwards and the same group of defensemen for Saturday's game against the San Jose Sharks. Here is how the team looked ahead of today's game:

Forwards.

RNH-McDavid-Hyman

Savoie-Draisaitl-Roslovic

Podkolzin-Henrique-Frederic

Mangiapane-Lazar-Kapanen

Defensemen.

Ekholm-Bouchard

Nurse-Walman

Stastney-Emberson

Goaltender:

Ingram

The Oilers (66 points) are currently behind the Vegas Golden Knights (70 points) and Anaheim Ducks (67 points) in the Pacific Division standings but have played 1 more game than the Golden Knights and 2 more games than the Ducks. This means that each win is critical for the Oilers if they wish to maintain their playoff spot as we head into the final stretch of the regular season.
