A recent report from the National Hockey League has revealed that Nugent-Hopkins is expected to miss six to eight weeks as a result of the hand injury he suffered on Monday night.

Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will miss the next 6-8 weeks with a hand injury, coach Todd McLellan said Tuesday.

Nugent-Hopkins was reportedly on the trading block, and with the trade deadline roughly a month and a half away, it's unclear what kind of value the Oilers could expect in return of Nugent-Hopkins at this time.
