Olympic officials change arena in Milano after reported complaints from Team USA

Did Jeremy Swayman himself just get the arena changed at the Olympics?

Officials at the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena in Milano, Italy have swapped out the vinyl wrapping covering the boards after receiving feedback from teams thus far in the tournament.

Team USA goaltender Jeremy Swayman, of course, infamously allowed a terrible goal against Denmark and placed part of the blame on the dark board covering the boards.

Swayman said after the game that he lost sight of the puck because it was "the perfect height, right between the stands and the board level."

"It's something all of us always have to face, and we play in different arenas every night in the NHL," Swayman said. "So this is just another one and a challenge we'll have to embrace."

The darker blue that you seen in the clip above has been replaced by a lighter shade of blue on the new design.

It's probably not fair to pin the change entirely on Swayman and USA, as Olympic officials said they made the changed after receiving feedback from teams and federations, including the NHL and NHL Players' Association.

Still... USA was the only team to publicly complain about the situation. And now, magically, the problem has been solved.

Just sayin'...
