1961 was a LONG time ago but for Rangers fans this was the year that their all time leader in goals and points was signed to their club. On this date in 1961, Rod Gilbert became a New York Ranger.
Gilbert spent his whole NHL career with the Rangers putting up 1021 points in 1065 games. Legendary numbers.
