If you're a candidate for the National Hockey League Entry Draft and you're really really hoping to go to one team and one team alone, there's probably no harm in stating that fact. For one it can't hurt your chances and while it may not endear you to the fan base that does end up drafting you, if they have any level of empathy at all they'll likely understand in the long term.

That's exactly what one of players projected to be among the top picks in the draft has just done. According to a French language interview with TVA Sports, the dream scenario for Pierre-Luc Dubois and the Dubois family would be to be dreafted by the Habs.

"My family cheers for the Canadiens, my friends cheer for the Canadiens, it's one of the best organizations in the National Hockey League, and they have some of the best fans in the league, it would be an honor to be drafted by them."

In order to make this happen the Canadiens would need to trade up in the draft as Dubois is not expected to make it out of the top 5 picks, and again according to TVA Sports that's exactly what Dubois is wishing for.
