Ottawa Senators General Manager Brian Murray addressed the media on Thursday and discussed what everyone around the league is talking about, Mark Stone's broken wrist. While there is no doubt that the Montreal Canadiens P.K. Subban is the cause of that injury, Brian Murray's comments today hinted at a level of premeditation that is frankly very disturbing. According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, Brian Murray is claiming that P.K. Suban threatened to injure Mark Stone prior to actually injuring him, meaning that he had a clear objective in mind when he slashed him. When Subban was asked about the allegation of a threat against Stone he responded by saying"
"It's a playoff game. There's tons of emotions involved."
It's important to note that Mark Stone isn't just one of the very best players in the league at the moment, he's also just 22 years of age, and if Subban's attack was indeed premeditated and deliberate as Murray would have us believe, this would be a new low for P.K. Subban. Here once again is the video of the incident, you can make your own judgement call.
