The Ottawa Senators have agreed to a one year, $1 million deal with Johnny Oduya. The contract has bonuses that could add up to another $1.25 million pending on how many games and minutes Oduya plays next season.

A two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks, Oduya played 37 games last campaign with the Dallas Stars before being traded back to Chicago where he ended the season. Last year, in 52 regular season games and 4 playoff contests, Oduya amassed 9 points.

He originally was drafted in 2001 by the Washington Capitals in the 7th round, 221th overall.

Until now, Oduya has played in 798 NHL games.
