Hockey coach goes nuts!

There is a great deal of media outrage floating around in the hockey world and the latest target of that outrage is now the former assistant coach of the  Littleton Hockey Association‘s Bantam A Blacks hockey team in Littleton, Colorado.

A report from Global News has revealed that the assistant coach was fired after using some rather vulgar language in a effort to get his youth hockey team motivated either between periods or just prior to the game. Here's an example of what was said as per Global News:

“I wanna see you sticking your hands up these guys (expletive) and workin’ ‘em like a (expletive) puppet!”

The coach has since received a great deal of backlash for the remarks he made to a room of 13 to 14 year old boys, however to suggest that the reaction has been entirely negative would be false.

As you will see in the video below the boys in the room do not seem to be afraid of his tirade, if anything they can be heard laughing at the ridiculous statements being made their coach. The video has now been shared on a number of Facebook groups dedicated to hockey and the reaction from fans seems to be one of amusement rather than concern for the kids potentially being abused.

That being said the coach has now lost his job, and it's important to remember that we would perhaps be reacting differently if it was our kids in the room, or if our kids were the ones playing on the opposing team that night.

Let us know how you feel after you've watched the video in the comments below.
