Ovechkin absolutely obliterates Girard with an early hit of the year candidate

It’s only two weeks into the NHL season and already Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is making his presence felt. 

Of course, Ovi has four goals and five points in six games to start the season, but this is what I mean by “making his presence felt,” check out Ovechkin absolutely OBLITERATING Colorado Avalanche blueliner Samuel Girard earlier today:
