Ovechkin gives a blunt answer when asked about watching Barry Trotz in the playoffs

One year ago while captain Alex Ovechkin and head coach Barry Trotz were on their way to earning a Stanley Cup championship for the first time in Washington Capitals history. Now, a year later Ovechkin and the Capitals are sitting at home watching on TV while Trotz marches on with the New York Islanders. Who could have ever predicted something so crazy?

Nevertheless, reality is often stranger than fiction…  

Earlier today Ovechkin was asked for his thoughts on his former coach moving on in the playoffs, while his team watches from the sidelines. His answer? Well, let’s just say that Ovi isn’t exactly an Isles fan…
