No one asked former NHL defenseman P.K. Subban, but if you were wondering what he thought of Buffalo Sabres blue liner Rasmus Dahlin’s hit on Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand, you don’t have to look far.

Early on in the game on Tuesday evening, the Sabres found themselves trailing 2-0 and a visibly frustrated Dahlin rushed into a board battle with Marchand. The defenseman destroyed the captain, causing all of the Bruins and Sabres players on the ice to come to the defense of their respective stars.

On Wednesday morning, Subban reposted the play on X, formely known as Twitter, and added the captain: Love it!

Right after the hit, all players on the ice got involved in a scrum. Dylan Cozens was pulling players off of a helmetless Dahlin, and was quite rough with star forward David Pastrnak as Marchand was looking for revenge. Despite everyone getting involved and fists flying, only two players were penalized on the sequence. Cozens was sent to the box, along with Bruins’ defenseman Charlie McAvoy, both with a roughing penalty.

Subban did not however comment on the Bruins’ 5-2 win over the Sabres… The former defenseman now NHL analyst had more than his share of scuffles and a handful of altercations over the years with Marchand during his career.

Fans remember this 2010 whopping body check that forced Marchand to head back to the Bruins’ bench to catch his breath.

Maybe that’s why Subban enjoyed Dahlin’s hit on Marchand so much: it reminded him of when he was the one delivering the hard checks and getting the players into a brawl on the ice.

Hey, I’m admitted it as well : I love it!
