The new member of the Columbus Blue Jackets Artemi Panarin had a memorable game of his own in his regular season debut on Friday.

The young Russian player recorded three assists in a 5-0 victory over the New York Islanders. He hence set a franchise record by becoming the first player to get three points in his first game with the Jackets.

The Jackets added Panarin to their group this summer by acquiring him from Chicago in a blockbuster that sent Brandon Saad back to the Blackhawks.

Saad might have recorded three goals in a game with the Hawks on Thursday, but Jackets fans will remember the record set by Panarin of his first game on board.
