The Florida Panthers, as part of their incredible run to the Stanley Cup Final last season, defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. But it was the ironic part that took place before the series began that gave the Panthers some extra motivation.
Prior to the series, Leafs fans were filmed chanting, "We want Florida!" as they celebrate their series v victory over the Tamp Bay Lightning. Well, not only did the Leafs get Florida, but they were dispatched by them in five games.
During last night's game in Florida between the two division rivals, Panthers fans decided to break out the all-too-familiar chant over the course of what was a 5-2 victory for the Cats.
