No official word yet on Verhaeghe's injury, but he left last night's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs with what looked to be a hand or wrist injury. The 28 year old forward left the game in the 3rd period after seemingly jamming his hand into the end-boards on an offensive play.
Panthers head coach Paul Maurice has reportedly stated that Verhaeghe will be ready to go for round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Verhaeghe was in the midst of another stellar season with the Panthers, putting up 33 goals and 71 points in just 75 games playing on the team's top line with Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett.
