Panthers adjust their lineup with their season on the line in Game 7 tonight.

The Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs will clash one final time on Sunday night to determine who will advance to the Eastern Conference Final to take on the Carolina Hurricanes.

There has been no bigger game this season up until this point for either team and with their season on the line, Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice is making some adjustments. While Maurice would not officially confirm any lineup changes ahead of Game 7, a few notable National Hockey League insiders have done the job of leaking the lineup changes for him.

Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports that the previously injured Evan Rodrigues will make his return to action tonight which makes sense given that Maurice did confirm that Rodrigues was "feeling good" heading into Game 7 despite not officially confirming his status for that game.

A return to health for Rodrigues is great news for both team and player but it also means that one of his teammates will have to step aside to make room in the lineup. According to Lavoie, that teammate will be Panthers forward Jesper Boqvist. Boqvist played in both Games 5 and 6 for the Panthers and has played in 4 of the 6 games we've seen thus far in this series, but it seems Maurice feels Rodrigues gives the Panthers a better chance of winning with their season on the line.

Neither man has done a ton offensively with 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points in 9 games for Boqvist while Rodrigues has no goals and 3 assists over 9 games in the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs. Boqvist has been on the ice for more goals against, so perhaps that played a factor in Maurice's decision given just how close some of the games in this series have been.
