After winning the last two Stanley Cups, the Florida Panthers are approaching this year’s trade deadline with a dramatically different mindset.

Sitting 10 points out of the final playoff spot, Florida has officially shifted into seller mode ahead of Friday’s 3 p.m.ET deadline.

That means any player eligible for unrestricted free agency on July 1 is now available, including veteran goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, according to Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic.

The Panthers are reportedly willing to listen to offers for the 37-year-old netminder. However, Bobrovsky will have some control over the process, as he owns a 16-team no-trade clause.

The two-time Vezina Trophy winner has shown signs of slowing down this season. In 43 appearances, he holds a 22-19-1 record with a 3.13 goals-against average and a .873 save percentage. Numbers well below his usual standard.

Bobrovsky is in the final year of a contract that carries a $10 million annual cap hit, a figure that could complicate potential negotiations, even if Florida is willing to retain salary.

Beyond Bobrovsky, the Panthers are also expected to listen on other pending unrestricted free agents, including forward A.J. Greer.

Just months removed from championship glory, Florida now finds itself at a crossroads and the decision to shop a franchise goaltender signals how serious this reset could be.
