An U12 hockey game turns into a circus after the parents go berserk.
It is a tale as old as time, an overly invested parent getting way too angry during one of their children's sporting events. As sports enthusiasts we have all been witness to it in one form or another and over the weekend we were treated to another example, this time with the whole thing captured on video.
The video has been shared on social media by Crisp Hockey Training whom I suspect made the decision to post the video in an effort to shame the parents captured in the footage to perhaps change their behavior.
In the video we can see what I can only describe as a circus, with parents quite literally climbing up on the boards to gesture over the glass in frustration at what I can only assume is the officials who are still out on the ice. There are some more level headed parents who are trying to restrain those that have completely lost it, but unfortunately they seem unable to control the situation.
One man can even be seen in the video flipping off the camera while telling the people behind the camera that they should be "ashamed" of themselves, only to then snap himself and begin smashing the boards and protective glass with both of his hands.
As if the video wasn't bad enough, the parents are being taken to task in the comments as well with just about every replay shaming them for conducting themselves in such a manner during an U12 hockey game.
Here is a look at the video:
