After being forced to retire due to blood clot issues, Pascal Dupuis will continue to work for the Pittsburgh Penguins next season.
The Score reports that while Dupuis was around to celebrate the Penguins’ Stanley Cup victory last season, general manager Jim Rutherford intends on putting him to work during the final year of his contract:
“He’s going to do some scouting out of Quebec and possibly a little bit of development work,” Rutherford told TribLive.
When asked about this situation, Dupuis said: “If I do something with a team in the NHL, it's 100 percent going to be with the Penguins… I was treated right… (and) want to treat people the same way I was treated.”
He added that he respects Pittsburgh’s philosophy.
