Pastrnak never stood a chance.

Our current predicament has forced the vast majority of us to live our lives indoors as of late and as a result many people have found creative new ways to entertain themselves or have taken up new hobbies to fill the void left by all the free time that they now suddenly find themselves with. Some people have started reading again while others have been catching up on old movies and TV shows that they may have missed out on over the years, and then there are the David Pastrnak's of the world.

In a recent video  published online by the Boston Bruins forward Pastrnak was seen engaging in a brand new sport, one he may in fact have invented himself, speed racing doggy treats against a canine opponent. Pastrnak can be seen in the short video lining up in front of what appears to be a line of doggy treats and joining him in this endeavor is a dog, presumably his dog, who is also standing in front of an identical line of doggy treats. As the video begins to play we suddenly see Pastrnak and the dog engaged in a fierce race to scoop up the doggy treats with their mouths before the other competitor, although in this instance we do get a clear cut winner.

I can hardly blame Pastrnak given that he is a high performance athlete and now has to find somewhere to put all that energy that is normally spent during the course of his regular routine in the National Hockey League, likely not an easy task given the limited equipment he may or may not have around his house. It may be in fact that the lack of social interaction, and the lack of competition as well, has started to impact the mind of the Bruins forward who is now resorting to races against his dog.

Of course this was all done in good fun by Pastrnak and frankly it is a great gesture on his part to try and keep his fans entertained during this trying time. If you want to see who emerged victorious you'll have to watch and find out.
