Patrice Bergeron’s teammates get roasted for letting the Bruins’ captain down

I mean they have to do something!

The first 20 games of the 2021-22 season have been a challenge for the Boston Bruins, who present a 12-8-0 record so far. Captain Patrice Bergeron has led the team brilliantly, and while the Bruins have lost key players in the past two seasons, they can be thankful for the star forward.

However, this should be represented a lot better on the ice as reporter Joe Haggerty pointed out on Thursday night with footage of the Bruins’ 2-0 win over the Nashville Predators.

Haggerty has noticed that Bergeron is often taking a beating in the recent games and none of his teammates have been coming out to help him out or defend him.

The reporter cannot believe Bergy’s teammates would leave him out to dry like this, and would like to see them respond to the way their captain gets treated on the ice.

I have to admit he is not wrong. Bergeron never let the Bruins down - I mean come on, remember how he kept playing in the postseason with broken ribs and a punctured lung. The guy will do anything for the Black and Yellow, and so his teammates should have that in mind when he gets a beating by rival players.

Let’s hope they realize soon enough that their captain cannot be let down this way.
